The Green Comet has circled back, like all tales that speak to the human experience. In looking at both ancient and modern mythology, we see patterns that speak to our histories, multivalent as time passes. We share wants and needs, as well as the ability to mythologize systems and figures within our culture.
In the summer 2023 Devonshire exhibition we look at mythology, past and present, light and dark, with layers of meaning to be discovered in each and every one. In knowing that everything is cyclical how do we look at stories from the past, present, and future as connected through time.
