Travelling has long been intertwined with mythology, as it captures the human desire for exploration, adventure, and encounters with the unknown. Mythological stories and beliefs often surround the concept of travel, inspiring and guiding travellers throughout history. The series ‘A Traveller’ created by Slo-Toons starts with a worn-in suitcase with stickers on it, memories of all the places this person has travelled. The traveller brings their journal, watch, boots, passport, sunglasses, camera, money, binoculars, hat, compass, and a map to guide and support their journey. The mythology around traveling intertwines with innate human curiosity and longing for exploration, connecting the traveller to a deeper sense of purpose, adventure, and, perhaps, the journey of transformation.
