New onesie pattern

A new onesie pattern inspired by SickKids patient ambassadors

On Nov. 19 it's all for onesies and onesies for all! Staff will wear their favourite onesie to show support for this year's partnership with SickKids Foundation. Ten per cent of all onesie sales at Drake General Store as well as 10 per cent of brunch sales at Drake Hotel, Drake One Fifty and Drake Devonshire will go to SickKids Foundation.

This is the second year Drake General Store is partnering up with SickKids Foundation and DGS’ Kate Chippindale is excited to uphold the tradition. “I was lucky enough to volunteer at the hospital and interact with the kids through Camp Oochigeas and see first-hand the positive impact that these donations have on the patients and their families. SickKids is a magical place and we're proud to be partnering with such an amazing organization to help fund the fight for children's health.”

Even though winter and snow isn’t here just yet we have some extra fun activities for all ages at each location planned.

Tickets are available for the Pyjama Party and performance by the rockin’ and rollin’ Monkey Bunch at Drake Hotel.

Coordinate and practice your family photo pose because there will be a photographer offering $25 photo packages at Drake One Fifty from 11AM - 2PM.

Get creative and take part in a onesie colouring contest at Drake Devonshire. Donning your own onesie for inspiration is optional!

With the help of SickKids patient ambassadors we're officially ringing in #OnesieSZN in style with a new onesie print featuring hand-drawn illustrations of the kids' favourite winter hobbies.

Meet Roxy: At age 3, Roxanne underwent open heart surgery to repair a faulty mitral valve. Now as an active and fun loving 8 year old kid, building snowmen, skating, and tobogganing are just a few of Roxanne’s favourite things. Holiday activities like munching on candy canes and sipping hot cocoa with friends and family make winters a little more warm and fuzzy.

Meet Hunter: At age 2, Hunter was diagnosed with cancer. Fast forward to now and he is a dapper 9 year old and cancer free. In the winter you can probably find Hunter on the ice playing hockey or practicing his forward stride.

Meet Anisa: 12 year old Anisa has Larsen syndrome which is a disorder that affects the development of bones throughout the body. She loves winter and snow because building igloos and snowmen are her specialty. And in any epic snowball fight, you’ll want Anisa on your side.
