PHOTOS: Inside Canada's Film Party at TIFF

Last night, The Drake Hotel played host to the annual + beloved Canada Party at TIFF. Put on by the Canadian Film Fest, this annual fête is often referred to as "the fun one" within press and industry circles. Great, because that's the only type of party we like to host!

Party revelers traded in the usual bite-sized hors d'oeuvres for giant gooey wedges of grilled cheese, and buffets laden with chip bowls and towering trays of donuts. Instead of bubbly, guests sipped local Farmhouse Cider and stout brews from Beau's Brewery.

We chatted with the cast and crew of Below Her Mouth (which received high praise after its world premiere at TIFF this past Saturday), enjoyed dishing the dirt with local foodie Rachel Bies and PR Wonderwoman Lauren Wolfe, and got very excited to spot A Tribe Called Red, who were in deep convo with hip hop artist Shad.

With so many Canadian films at TIFF receiving international acclaim, there was a lot to celebrate. It didn't take long for a dance circle to form so that actors, publicists, and bigwig producers could all have a moment to show off their moves (something that comes easy when Director X is DJing).
