Tor Miller Drake Underground

These days [and all days] we love a big voice. Adele’s got us from the other side, Sam Smith’s got us tearing up, Hozier’s taking us to church… And while the British trio may be enjoying the spotlight, we think we’ve found the next big thing, and he’s coming to the Drake Underground January 26th.

Meet Tor Miller. Yes, he’s dreamy – but he’s not just a pretty face. He’s a piano man, he’s got killer pipes, and he’s only 21! A New York native, he was inspired by the greats like David Bowie, Elton John, Otis Redding, Ray Charles, and Fleetwood Mac. He’d listen to their songs on long commutes to school and after taking up the piano, there was no stopping him. Writing and composing his own songs, he shared his music with a small following on social media before being picked up by a little outfit called Glassnote Records whose roster includes the likes of Mumford and Sons, Daughter, Childish Gambino, + CHVRCHES.

We’re loving his single “Midnight” off of his latest EP, Headlights. How can you not dig a song with irresistible ballad-like piano riffs + a chorus that’s perfect for singing at the top of your lungs on the way home from the bar with your friends? And we mean that in the best way possible. Listen up, then get ready to be serenaded in the Drake Underground January 26th!
