He gave us that infectious song, which we're assuming is still stuck in your head, + larger-than-life hat. At forty one years old Pharrell Williams looks as if he could blend right in at the Pier 62 Skatepark in New York City, making him a timeless (street) style icon.

He rides, has the boyish stance of a teenage skateboarder + the look to match. The skateboarder, singer, rapper, producer and designer has accomplished quite a bit more in his four decades than the average skate punk - with seventeen top ten hits, two number one albums, a slew of Grammy awards, an Academy Award for Best Original Song, two clothing labels and half a dozen more apparel collaborations. Produced in very limited quantity his streetwear lines, Billionaire Boys Club + Ice Cream, were established with Japan's fashion icon Nigo of BAPE. These lines step outside the realm of most hip-hop clothing collaborations, inspired by the skate culture Pharrell knows all too well.

Pharrell's own look is much more diverse than just a skate-inspired style. He can rock the casual street look just as well as he can a suit + is not afraid to be audacious with what he wears, whether that be a pair of drop-crotch jean shorts or a hat that looks like it could be on one of our mounties. Not always so daring, Pharrell's personal style usually includes at least one article of camo print (could be a bow tie, pair of pants or entire suit), a baseball cap, pop-colour sneakers, some shades + almost always SpongeBob toe socks. For him, getting dressed is: "How you feel when you wake up in the morning, where your head is and what the weather's going to be like. If you follow those three things, you'll always be true to yourself and your intention will be transparent. That's what I love. I love when things are transparent, free and clear of all inhibition and judgement". Pharrell's style comes from a real and true blue place, no luck needed.
