How do I get there?
How does the TTC work?
You can "ride the rocket" for $3.25. Remember to pay with exact change and grab a transfer as your Proof of Payment [POP] to transfer to alternate lines + subways. You can transfer between subway + ground routes only if you are making a one-way trip to a destination. You cannot hop on / hop off any part of the TTC. Want to ride like a Torontonian while you're in town? Visit the TTC website for information about alternate fares + passes for your length of stay.
How do I get to The Drake Hotel if I’m riding the TTC?
On the University line exit at Osgoode Station then after a quick ride west on the 501 streetcar to Beaconsfield Avenue, you’ll have arrived at 1150 Queen St. West.
How do I get to The Drake Hotel from Union Station?
Head north on University Avenue, turn left on Queen Street and head west until you arrive at Beaconsfield Avenue. The Drake Hotel is at 1150 Queen St. West.
How do I get to The Drake from Pearson International Airport (YYZ)?
- + Hop in a car, Uber or cab and head south on Airport Road.
- + Once you meet HWY 401, take it eastbound to HWY 427 then south toward the QEW.
- + Continue on the Gardiner Expressway east toward Toronto.
- + Exit at Jameson Ave. and after turning right onto Queen Street West, stop at Beaconsfield Avenue. It’s less than 1KM. We’re right at 1150 Queen St. West.
How do I use the UP Express?
Upon arriving in Toronto at Pearson International Airport, follow the “Train to City” signs in Terminal 1 until you see signs for UP Express. The Drake Hotel is conveniently located close to two UP Express stops: Union Station [directions above] or Bloor Station [1456 Bloor St. West].
If in a car, Uber or cab:
- + Head east along Bloor West to Dufferin St.
- + At Dufferin, head south to Queen St. West and turn left until you’ve reached 1150 Queen St. West at Beaconsfield Ave. It’s less than ½ km.
If using the TTC:
- + Exit UP Express Bloor Station and walk south to Bloor Street.
- + At Bloor, turn right and walk to Dundas West Station.
- + From Dundas West Station, head east on the TTC to Dufferin Station and transfer to the southbound Dufferin bus.
- + At Queen Street West, exit the bus and walk left on Queen St. West to 1150 Queen St. West at Beaconsfield.
How do I get to The Drake from Billy Bishop Airport (YTZ)?
Hop in a car, Uber or cab and head north on Bathurst. At Queen Street West take a left. Travel west on Queen Street West, stop at Beaconsfield Avenue- it’s less 1.7KM. We’re at 1150 Queen St. West.
Where can I park my ride?
Conveniently, there is an indoor Green P lot located at 45 Abell St. “Carpark Lot #261”, ½ a block south of the Hotel. Just purchase your ticket from the machine and display on your dash, pay online or with the Green P Parking APP. Tickets are $1.00 / half hour + $12.00 for a 12-hour period. For periods greater than 12 hours, select "Max Time" repeatedly until you are covered. Registered hotel guests can pre-book a spot in advance for your car at a rate of $25 / day. Space is limited, so give us a shout at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Are all the hotel rooms different and can you accommodate special room requests?
Whether you’re looking for a sunny corner Suite, a Salon with a super luxe washroom, an ultra-quiet Den or an exposed brick Crashpad, each of our 19 rooms are filled with uniquely curated artwork + design sensibilities. Our Hotel staff know every room inside-out and will happily help you make the best selection for your visit.
What time can I check in?
We’re more than happy to check you in anytime after 3PM. Check out time is at 11AM, which gives you time to enjoy breakfast in our Café.

Can I take my wedding pics at The Drake Hotel?
Congratulations on your engagement! While we'd love to have the capacity to accommodate everyone's request, the truth is that photo opps are reserved for couples who are having their wedding or engagement event here at The Drake. Is The Drake accessible by wheelchair?
Our Café, Lounge and Dining Room are all accessible by wheelchair, as well as a washroom on the main floor (unfortunately our Sky Yard and our Underground are not). Please feel free to call us prior to your visit if you require special access.
Is there a dress code?
The Drake welcomes all guests who share our love of food, drink + culture. Not sure what to wear? Get as creative as you want, keeping one word in mind: refined. Shine up your shoes, wear all the patterns you choose and don’t be afraid to break out your fancy pants. On Friday and Saturday nights especially, the vibe is dress to impress. Please note; guests who do not share our philosophies of inclusiveness, or do not enjoy our tunes, eats and cocktails with demonstrated respect and courtesy for our staff and their fellow guests may not be permitted to enter or may be asked to leave.
