Mads is an artist who explores the use of technology and coding to produce tangible sculptural artworks. Her practice is centered around the exploration of evolution, genetics, and processes of change, with a specific focus on challenging the societal norms and assumptions that are often reinforced through biological discourse. She uses her work to explore the ways in which biology is often used to reinforce heteronormative concepts, such as family as a purely procreative unit, and how this prioritization of traditional values can limit the potential for alternative and innovative visions of the future.
