Toronto-based alternative R&B artist Joël is known for creating his own form hybridized experimental R&B against a commanding vocal range and devastatingly personal songwriting. Joël blends his early inspiration of gospel music with his love for alternative culture and grunge. After being recognized by tastemaker publications Pigeons & Planes  DJBooth, and The Fader. Joël released his EP GRUNGE GOSPEL (Side A) last September. Now the artist’s sights are to double down on combining his influences into a sound that’s unique, youthful and urgent - just in time for a new decade of music. Look for GRUNGE GOSPEL (Side B) this May ahead of his debut hometown headline performance.
