    Drake Devonshire and TIFF are proud to host some leading women in the film industry for a panel discussion and interview.

    Charlotte Mickie is Vice-Presiden of Film Acquisitions and Sales at renowned international sales agency, Celluloid Dream, whose recent titles include Xavier Legrand’s Custody and Jafar Panahi’s 3 Faces. Previously, Mickie served as the President of International Sales at Mongrel Media, handling international rights on critically acclaimed films, including Jennifer Fox’s The Tale + Ira Sachs’ Little Men. She was the Executive Vice-President of eOne Films International, where she acquired and sold high-profile, award-winning films, and also spent many years overseeing international film sales at Alliance Atlantis and founded the Alliance Independent division. Mickie currently serves on advisory boards for ACE (Les Ateliers du Cinéma Européen), REEL Canada, and Gamechanger. Charlotte Mickie is also a programmer for the Open Roof Film Festival in Toronto.

    She will be interviewed by Jennifer Jonas, an award-winning producer of 14 feature films. In 2013 she won the CMPA/TIFF Producer of the Year award. Her latest feature, Born to Be Blue starring Ethan Hawke, Carmen Ejogo and Callum Keith Rennie premiered at TIFF 2015. To name a few more, Gerontophilia, from writer/director Bruce LaBruce premiered at the Venice Film Festival and TIFF 2013 and won Best Canadian Feature at Montreal’s 2013 Festival du nouveau cinema. In 2012, she produced I'm Yours by Leonard Farlinger, starring Karine Vanasse which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival 2011. In 2010, she produced Bruce McDonald’s Trigger starring Molly Parker and Tracy Wright selected as one of TIFF’s Top Ten films for 2010. Her work has won her the Director's Guild of Canada's Best Feature Film Director prize. Jennifer is co-chair of Film Ontario, as well as co-chair of the CMPA Feature Film Committee.
