Saimaiyu Akesuk (b. 1988, Kinngait) is an illustrator from Cape Dorset, Nunavut whose work focuses on intricate coloured pencil drawings which place focus on animals and the natural world. Her unique, captivating style shines in this work as it showcases her superb sense of colour and form with birds, bear, and walrus expertly rendered as one.
