Jennifer Murphy’s practice is informed by her educated awareness of the systems that bind the natural world together. These observations of interactivity are articulated using hand-cut collage to arrange images of creatures in the animal kingdom into a large-scale hybrid bird spirit. Murphy’s work is a quiet contemplation that is reflective of both the beauty of nature and the current period of ecological mourning.

Jennifer Murphy’s work has been exhibited at The Banff Centre (Banff), The Power Plant (Toronto), LA MOCA (Los Angeles), and galleries in New York City, London and Berlin. Murphy is represented by Clint Roenisch.
