Our monthly open mic and spoken word event, Dead Poet keeps your energy charged with a vibrant space of artists, poets, musicians, DJs and performances. A community filled with diversity and a space to meet amazing creatives in an environment that allows you to be you.
We focus on welcoming all artist in the community, we're looking for music, poetry and dance submission that connects on your artistry. As we are in the closing chapter of the year let's tap into regeneration, renewal and self-reflection of the times in our lives which had effects of our past that help to plant the seeds which flourish a positive and healthy future mentally, psychically, and spiritually.

Born in Toronto, Myles Maximme is a multidisciplinary artist and culture curator. His current focus is in event production, particularly in the realm of music. You can catch him frequenting local events and artist showcases, at the AGO, or rocking with his favourite DJs in the club.
Special guest performer: M.I. Blue
M.I Blue is an artist from Toronto that encompasses the soul, culture and sound of Toronto’s growing alt-R&B scene. As an interdisciplinary artist, Blue’s lush, down tempo soul is often accompanied by striking visuals, creating an all-encompassing, highly stylized artistic output. With influences ranging from jazz, early R&B and her own East African roots.

DJ Money Jane is a multidisciplinary artist connecting all platforms through music. Jane started off her career in the entertainment industry through dance and eventually pursued DJing and instrumental music. Over the course of 4 years Money Jane has been a part of organizations such as UforChange and The Remix Project and she has DJ'd for clients such as Youtube, Adidas, Reebok and OVO. Money Jane continues to challenge herself not only learning music and music theory but immersing herself in the roots of the history and culture in each genre.
Travis Aaron Foster is Ditto Daark, a Brampton-born, Rexdale-raised, multi-instrumentalist, dancer, and DJ of Jamaican descent. Ditto grew up in a musical family and begun writing music in his teenage years, while also gaining proficiency with guitar, bass, trumpet, saxophone, tuba, drums, and vocals.
Constantly perfecting his craft and learning new tricks to the game IamMiikey is introducing a new generation of eclectic taste-makers in music selection curating high energy majestic sets. As Toronto's new golden era of DJs emerges every day IamMiikey is already cued up on the right track finding his own vision & vibes to capture the crowd. IamMiikey pushes diversity and culture with each DJ mix, you will sonically be taken on a trip around the world hearing sounds from AfroFusion, Dancehall/Reggae Gold, Baile Funk, Future Beat edits, House, Latin, Soca, UK Funky/UKG plus always paying homage to homegrown Toronto vibes.
