MARK KRZEPIS SOLO EXHIBITION
Workflow presents PULPIT: Myths, Malice, & Murder a solo exhibition by Mark Krzepis. 7PM_10PM
With works ranging from serious to humorous, PULPIT compiles Mark Krzepis’ explorations into the macabre. Whether evil exists in the air of the universe or the depths of our psyche, it continues to influence humanity’s mythos, actions, and art.
Mark Krzepis is a Toronto illustrator whose work muddies the line between lowbrow and highbrow subject matter. Inspired by literature, music, art history, and the absurd, he draws upon themes relevant in both fine art and pulp illustration. Through a colourful complementary palette and animated shapes, Mark taps into the rich knowledge of traditional illustration. The wide array of motifs such as gunslingers, jazz, fire and smoke all explore the absurdity that stuns high and low thinkers alike.
