DOË Esther Kim is a South Korean Canadian raised in Vancouver and currently a Toronto-based Artist. She majored in a Bachelor of Fine Arts from OCAD University (Ontario College of Art and Design University). Kim received The Power Plant Emerging Artist Award at the Toronto Art Fair in 2022 and The Best of Painting Award at the Toronto Outdoor Art Fair in 2021.

Kim’s art captures the essence of simple moments in life, particularly in nature and within her family, inviting viewers to escape the complexities of life and reflect on the themes of family, home, and the natural world. Inspired by the concept of Biophilia, her work aims to create a sense of belonging by depicting elemental beauty. Through her use of various mediums and techniques, Kim creates a tranquil and energetic atmosphere, expressing gratitude for life and offering serenity to her audience.
