Lenny Bull
Post punk meets new wave
Toronto’s Lenny Bull is no pretender, although her latest batch of songs does recall the power and pop-rock poise of Chrissie Hynde—guitar-centric rock that’s fun and infectious on one hand, biting and hard-edged on another. ‘Bull is pure fringe-swinging swagger on her sophomore EP Strange Vacation, a hazy burst of rollicking throwback power pop calling to mind the Replacements’ heavy-lidded cool and the Stones’ loose-limbed danger’. –exclaim!
Professional ballet dancer, country singer (Torero), and now rocker, charismatic Lenny is no stranger to the stage - bringing big energy to each live appearance. Her blend of post punk meets new wave is reminiscent of Blondie and the Pretenders. Lenny has shared the stage with acclaimed artists Daniel Romano, Caroline Rose, Lola Kirke and Skye Wallace.

Omhouse
Theatrical sadboy rock music
Omhouse is an art rock group from Toronto headed by Steven Foster, who has been the drummer for Doldrums, Moon King, Snowblink and many others. They've been called an "octopus of riffs", "high tension music for insomniacs" and "an over-caffeinated Dirty Projectors". The band started as Foster's solo recording project after his band's van broke down and he had to take a solitary three day Greyhound ride from Greenville, TX to Toronto with no phone or books to entertain him. When he got home he started recording the songs that had been germinating in his head on the endless bus ride, and shortly thereafter formed a band around the new material with Evan Cartwright, Sam Gleason and Ben Harney. Since then Omhouse has grown to blend riff-heavy power pop, sample-based electronic music and progressive rock.
Western Producer
Honky tonk cover band goodness served up by Ellen Froese
Ellen Froese is what you'd call a “prolific artist”; committed, too. For someone who only just passed the threshold of their mid-20s, she's amassed a resolutely solid body of work and, with a variety of projects, achieved more than some many years her senior. For Each Flower Growing, Froese's fourth full-length, produced in collaboration with the Sheepdogs' Sam Corbett, is her most accomplished statement to date, drawing on her established sound as a folk & country-based singer/songwriter while incorporating a wider frame of reference in the rich production, supple instrumentation, and overall sonic soundworld. It's much harder to pin down than any simple description can convey, making it all the more worthwhile to check out.
