Tayla Parx is a highly accomplished and influential songwriter, artist, and entrepreneur. With a discography streamed over 1 billion times and counting, she has established herself as a history-making behind-the-scenes force in the music industry. In 2019, Parx won Billboard’s “Hitmaker” Award, becoming the first female songwriter since 2014 to have three simultaneous Top 10 songs in the Hot 100 with Ariana Grande’s “7 rings” and “thank u, next” and Panic! At The Disco’s “High Hopes”.
In addition to her success as a songwriter, Parx has released two critically acclaimed albums, including her 2019 debut album ‘We Need To Talk’, and ‘Coping Mechanisms’, which was released in 2020 via TaylaMade / Atlantic Records. In 2020, Tayla also launched TaylaMade, Inc., a new umbrella company that houses Parx’s ventures, including Parx Publishing, Parx Studios, 3020 Management, and lifestyle brand Trailer Parx, which was featured in Forbes. Additionally, ‘We Need to Talk’ and ‘Coping Mechanisms’ were received with glowing reviews from across multiple publications including but not limited to Billboard, Variety, Pitchfork, Complex, The Fader, Paper, Nylon, Insider and many more.
In 2022 Tayla was featured in W Magazine’s Music Issue, alongside Lana Del Rey and other notable women in music. In 2022, Parx also started to release tracks from her forthcoming project Many Moons, Many Suns, including “For What It’s Worth?” “Flowers” and “Rich” on her own label, TaylaMade Records, to critical acclaim. She was also selected to be a member of the YouTube Black Voices Music Class of 2023.
2023 saw Tayla release her fourth single, “Dream Hotel” and lend her songwriting talents to a diverse range of fresh chart-topping artists. Notable co-writes from this year include collaborations with renowned musicians like Kali Uchis, Troye Sivan, Summer Walker, JD & Domi Beck, Fred Again, Stormzy, Bryson Tiller and Ellie Goulding. Tayla also starred as Donna Summer in the Casablanca Records biopic Spinning Gold, sharing the screen Wiz Khalifa, Jason Derulo, Pink Sweat$, and Ledisi. Additionally, Tayla Parx was featured in Rolling Stone, where a remarkable milestone was highlighted: she is one of only three Black women to co-write a country number one hit, a testament to her ability to break boundaries and explore new musical territories.
Parx’s latest project, Many Moons, Many Suns, is scheduled for release in 1st Qrtr 2024, with one more single, “Celebration Weight” coming on November 17th, 2023.
With her many accomplishments, Parx has become an influential and highly respected figure in the music industry, and her talents and creativity continue to push boundaries and break records.
