    KARLO ESTATES: ()

    ROSEHALL RUN: (Jaqueline Syer)

A lifelong passion for food and travel has led me to many years working in restaurants, catering, and event planning with a foray into the tourism sector working for Ambassatours/Gray Line in Halifax through the early 2000’s.  In 2011, I made the shift from restaurants to the Ontario wine industry with Rosehall Run Vineyards and haven’t looked back since.  At the winery, each day is a brand-new adventure, and I don’t think I could ever be bored or at a loss for new experiences.  I’ve recently assumed the role of General Manager, with very big boots to fill following my business mentor, Lynn Sullivan. Rosehall Run is family-owned and operated, like most of the wineries in PEC, so we all carry the load!  My job today stretches anywhere from managing all aspects of the business to wine sales, to planning or attending events, product development, and even jumping on the bottling line as needed.   I am passionate about our industry and try to give back by volunteering for various Boards such as the International Cool Climate Chardonnay Celebration and, more locally, I sit on the advisory committee for the Culinary program at Loyalist.  Love to see the growing number of female-owned businesses in PEC, the community it creates, and the support that everyone brings to the table!

    CLOSSON CHASE:

Kirstyn Mayers has been working the County wine scene for nearly two decades, joining the Closson Chase team in early 2022. Her role in Marketing & Production allows her to tell the story of each wine from the vineyard to your glass.

    LA CONDESSA: (Samantha Valdivia)

Originally from Mexico, Samantha left her country to immerse herself in an incredible adventure. She has since been on a mission to promote the beautiful cuisine and culture of her home country.  After having the amazing opportunity to live and work in beautiful Prince Edward County she has now operated la condesa for 5 years.

    TRAIL ESTATE WINERY: (Brooke Taylor)

Brooke is a graduate of the winemaking program at Niagara College. Having worked a harvest at Rosewood as well as in New Zealand she has left the Niagara region for beautiful Prince Edward County. Brooke is no novice with plants. Having run her own landscaping company, taught a Sustainable Agriculture program in the Panamanian jungle and completing a bachelor’s degree at Ryerson University (now MTU) in Environment and Urban Sustainability, she helps to foster healthy plants and make delicious wines.

    LOCH MOR CIDER: (Sara)

Sara is the owner and cidermaker at Loch Mór Cider located just outside Wellington. Loch Mór uses traditional varieties of cider apples, grown in the estate orchard to handcraft artisanal ciders. Over the past few years, Loch Mór Cider has won multiple top cider awards, both nationally and internationally. Sara started her cider journey whilst living in London & traveling throughout the UK and European cider regions trying all the ciders she could find. Sara qualified as a Certified Pommelier in 2020 and is passionate about cider consumer education in Ontario and Canada, along with opening up new horizons with local craft cider with food pairings. Sara is also a Certified Cider Judge with the BJCP.

    STOCK + ROW: (Zoe)

Zoe is the Co-Founder and Cidermaker at Stock and Row Cider.  After years in the hospitality industry working in one of the top restaurants of Montreal, she had studied to receive her Level 3 sommelier certification and decided to make a change and embark into the world of Ciders. She is a graduate of the CINA Advanced Certificate in Cider & Perry Production program and spent 2 years working under the Rolph family at their Apple Orchard and farm learning the ins and outs of apple growing. In 2019 Zoe and her business partner Justin started Stock and Row Cider, making low alcohol, low sugar ciders with full flavour and 100% Ontario apples.  This was also the year they planted a Cider Orchard and Vineyard at their farm just outside of Bloomfield. After a delay due to the unforeseen events of 2020 Zoe and the team opened their tasting room overlooking the Cider orchard and Vineyard in Summer 2021. 2024 will be Zoe’s first release of wines from the family vineyard.

    PICNIC: (Rebecca Hunt)
