Global Currency is a party founded by DJ IGGY and DJ Mochi that celebrates international club music culture, highlighting sounds from the African, Latin, and Caribbean diaspora. The event began as a live-stream in 2020 and has since grown into a quarterly dance party at Sleeping Village, in partnership with Red Bull. Global Currency has headlined multiple music festivals, performed in New York and Houston, and featured special guest DJs from around the country, including Happy Colors, Uproot Andy, and No Nazar. The party’s mission is to build a diverse and forward-thinking community, open to fresh sounds and experiences.
