Global Currency is a Chicago-based party founded by DJ IGGY and DJ Mochi that celebrates international club music culture, highlighting sounds from the African, Latin, and Caribbean diaspora. The event began as a live-stream in 2020 and has since grown into a quarterly dance party, in partnership with Red Bull. Global Currency has headlined multiple music festivals, performed in New York, Los Angeles and Houston, and featured special guest DJs from some of North America's finest selectors. Local legends Hangaelle and Love Bonez will be featured as guest DJs for the party's Toronto debut.
