Canadian singer/songwriter and producer Chris Grey is onto something. Fusing elements of R&B, hard rock and classical music seems like the overly ambitious works of a mad scientist, but with Grey leading the way, the experiment results in a must-see performance.

Throughout the three-minute performance, Chris doesn't miss a note while bouncing back and forth from hyping up his violinist to rocking alongside his electric guitarist — as if he's mixing the chemicals of the track in real time. Grey began producing songs before he was even a teenager but credits the diverse backgrounds of his parents for his effortless ability to combine genres.

Both of Grey's parents were born in Kingston; his dad in Kingston, Jamaica, and his mom in Kingston, Canada. This introduced the "Seamless" singer to two distinct worlds of music — two worlds he seems primed to bring together.
