Theresa Himmer (b. 1976, Denmark) is a multidisciplinary artist and architect based in Copenhagen, Denmark whose research-driven body of work seeks to reconsider traditional artistic understandings through science and the exploration of existence.
New Love (Orbital Resolution) is an environmentally responsive installation made of sequins, delicately connected and punctured with intentional gaps to create pockets of negative space. These works call attention to space mining, the practice of harvesting raw materials from celestial bodies.
