Bryce Wymer
Assemblage of Andromeda, 2010s
Acrylic on die cut birch wood
Bryce Wymer is an American artist, designer, and musician based in Brooklyn, NY. His deeply personal works address human social progression and the driving relationship between the powerful and the powerless. This vibrant narrative piece is the artists representation of a deconstructed sculpture of the powerful Greek figure Andromeda, goddess of dreams. Existing in this natural space and context, each appendage of the figure interacts with the landscape as fingers brush against the lush foliage and toes dip into the pondwater.
Wymer’s work has been shown, awarded, and documented globally through innumerable site-specific installations, writings, art direction and animations among others. He is truly happiest when he is developing narratives, collaborating and — above all else — making.
