    Your Cold Weather County Concierge: Paula Desjardins

    Prince Edward County = amazing in the summer, with over 40 wineries, that BEACH at Sandbanks Provincial Park, new shops and breweries opening regularly, and some of the friendliest locals you ever did meet. But have you ever visited the County in the winter? Let us tell you – it is the bomb dot com. We checked in (pun intended) with our Hotel Manager and County local Paula Desjardins to get her tips on places to visit this winter, social distancing protocols in place. Plus, our Drake Motor Inn community skating rink is back early 2021! Give it a read and get that snowy County weekend in the books!

    Enid Grace Culinary at 304 Main St. Wellington
    Enid’s complete Piccolina breakfast bar is brand new this past Spring, and is available for take out and very limited indoor seating, including coffee and a full selection of fresh regional Italian pastries and bread. They also have some Italian grocery and pantry items available for sale, and fresh pasta sauces and pizza dough for you to take home and enjoy. Oh! And they are also fully licensed!

    Midtown Brewing Co at 366 Main St. Wellington

    The Brewpub + Bar’s patio is open 7 days a week 12PM-8PM and they now have a takeaway window! Their menu, with a big focus on wood fire pizza, is posted online but changes frequently. Make sure to stop by for a glass of one of their craft brews.

    La Condesa 298 Main St. Wellington

    This authentic Mexican restaurant is open with limited seating following regulations in their dining room. Note that they do not accept reservations!  Open Thursday-Monday  12PM-9PM. They now have an online shop so you can bring your favorites home – Hot Sauce, Cocktail Kits and more available for contactless pickup!

    Bloomfield Public House Market  257 Main St. Bloomfield

    The used-to-be farm-to-table restaurant has put a new spin on the way they are doing things. They are now offering guests local and seasonal cuisine market style where they have everything from pre-fixed meals to local produce and drinks.

    The Grange of Prince Edward 990 Closson Rd. Hillier

    The stunning local winery is putting a new spin on wine tastings and is now offering tasting kits paired with a picnic area to enjoy your wine and food if you chose to bring some. https://www.grangewinery.com/ Old Salt Cocktails will also be popping up daily with featured cocktails, local beer, wine by the glass and gormet hot dogs! They are currently open Thursday – Monday 11AM-5PM. Please make note there is limited seating so a short wait is a possibility and no groups larger than 6.      Sandbanks Provincial Park

    Sandbanks Provincial Park is open year-round! With amazing hiking trails and flat beaches it is the perfect place for a stroll in the fall and winter. Ask about renting our snowshoes to take with you on the trails!  

    Carson’s Garden Market

    HGTV Star Carson Arthur has a stunning garden market which is open for guests to shop. Located on site is pop up food truck Flossie’s where you can grab a gourmet sandwich from locally sourced farms and artisan-cured meats.
