"I imagined that after last call, when all the lights went out and the guests were sleeping, the Hairy Chest Men would wake up and take the humans' places," says illustrator Emily Sehl, who prefers drawing dolls and monsters over people. "They would have drinks and dance. They would fall in love and smooch in the photo booth."

This week, after exploring all the spaces at The Drake Hotel, Megan Stulberg decided to sit in the colourful indoor/outdoor corridor on the Sky Yard. “It reminds me of Los Angeles, a city I visit often. Rooftop bars are scarce in Toronto. Having one in the heart of Queen West is like having a little slice of LA around the corner from me,” says Megan.
