Counting Down to Cinco de Mayo w/ Altos Tequila

Chef Donnie Masterton is known as the chef who brought global comfort food to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico and now for the fifth year in a row, he's back at The Drake for a one-night-only chef pop-up to show Toronto how Cinco de Mayo is really done. Working with Executive Chef Ted Corrado, Chef Donnie has prepared a unique menu that can be feasted upon in two ways, prix-fixe or à la carte for those who like to mix it up. Prepare your palette with these Altos Tequila cocktails that you can make at home!

Cincos 1

2oz Altos Plata
1oz Agave Syrup (cut)
1 Barspoon Maraschino Liqueur
2 dashes Angostura Bitters

In a mixing beaker over ice, combine tequila, agave, Maraschino liqueur + bitters
Strain into old-fashioned glass over a 2" ice cube
Garnish w/ cherry

Cincos 2

El Diablo
1.5 oz Altos Plata
.5 oz Cassis
.5 oz Lime Juice

In a shaker over ice, combine tquila, cassis + lime juice
Strain into Collins glass over fresh ice
Garnish w/ lime wheel

Cincos 3

Tommy’s Marg
2 oz Altos Plata
1 oz Lime Juice
¾ Agave (Cut)

In a shaker over ice, combine tequila, lime juice + agave
Strain into rocks glass over fresh ice
Garnish w/ lime wheel or lime 'S' if you're fancy
