What is your first hockey memory?

Well I grew up in Brantford around the corner from the Gretzkys' house where Walter still maintains their original home. Hockey ran deep in my town, unfortunately for our team I never made it past grade 5 pond hockey.

Is there a specific food or dish that you most associate with hockey?

Tim Horton's chili always made an appearance around the rink when I was growing up.

Why are you taking time out of your busy schedule to play in this event?

Outside of The Drake putting on what will be the most epic restaurant event that I can remember, it's a great way to spend time with the community and chefs alike to support CFCC and celebrate Canada's birthday.

Beyond that, the truth is that I'd like to cross-check my own teammate, Afrim Pristine.

Community Food Centres Canada is devoted to food security for all Canadians. Can you say a few words about why food security is so important?

I share the same beliefs in that good, clean, wholesome food is a basic human right.

See which Montreal + Toronto chefs are worth their salt on the ice. Tickets for The Drake Barn Burner Hockey Game on Feb. 4 @ Essroc Arena in Prince Edward County are on sale here and includes not-so-average concessions by the chefs and participating restaurants. All proceeds from game ticket sales go directly to Community Food Centres Canada.
After the game, the chefs trade skates for chef whites so they can do what they do best. Join us for a post-game strolling dinner with Chef designed stations and Lot. 40 cocktails by the fire, ice cold Moosehead Lager, Norman Hardie + Rosehall Run wines + more! Tickets for The Drake Barn Burner Post-Game Dinner at Drake Devonshire are on sale here.
