#FBF: xoTO Filmmakers Lounge Opening Night

Posted by Stephan Petar, September 16, 2016

With 296 feature films, 101 short films, 32,320 minutes of film, countless celebrities and a number of memorable parties, we are sad to see the 41st annual Toronto International Film Festival come to a close. However, we can’t stop thinking about TIFF’s Opening Night at the xoTO Filmmaker Lounge.

Located across from the TIFF Bell Lightbox, the City of Toronto partnered up with The Drake to launch the xoTO Filmmakers Lounge, a hotspot for members of the film industry. The lounge welcomed international and local guests and was opened by the Toronto Film Commissioner + Director of Entertainment Industries Zaib Shaikh and Mayor John Tory.

With four nights of schmoozing, guests enjoyed food courtesy of The Drake + Drake Catering and an exclusive cocktail called xoTO by our award-winning mixologist Gord Hannah. The Drake curated the lounge's music and art with sounds by DJ BEVSTMODE and visuals by Canadian artists Jeremy Jansen, Shelley Adler and Niall McClelland.

There was plenty to celebrate and now the party comes to an end on another memorable year.
