Can’t it stay Summer forever?

My thoughts exactly…. so this September I decided to jet off to the Mediterranean and get some sand between my toes!

For my week in Alanya, Turkey I tried to find that balance between getting some time to relax and chasing some adventure. Between scuba diving, biking to the sea, mountain safaris, bridge diving, I also needed time to refuel. I indulged in delicious kebabs, sea bream, and Carte D’or ice cream. One of my favourite experiences was my authentic pampering treatment at a turkish bath. I was pleasantly surprised with the beautiful vacation villas in pastel colours and excessive food portions. Alanya was very touristy, thankfully I was surrounded by eastern european tourists that shared my interest in tanning goals and embraced the scorching 40 degree heat.

48 hours in Barcelona, no time to relax. Too much to see and too little time. I reached out to my Jetsetter friends and asked for recommendations! My favourite Tapas restaurant was Cerveceria Catalana, and my favourite meal on the go were the ham sandwiches from Enrique Tomas. Mercado de La Boqueria always hit the spot with plenty of options, including a one euro fresh juice to start my itinerary packed day. The beautiful architecture, food, and weather Barcelona had to offer left me thinking two things: First, I need to learn Spanish STAT; and Second, how could Vicky and Christina ever leave Barcelona?
