TIFF 2015: DRAKE HOUSE PARTY

Not a 6ix socialite or Tom Hardy’s personal on-call umbrella holder for this year's film festival? (we'd happily fill this position if it’s available…? Tom?). Well dry those tears, because we’ve got all your TIFF party needs covered. With the help of Jameson + Absolut*, we’re throwing the ultimate TIFF 2015 Drake House Party and have a killer line-up including KILL THEM WITH COLOUR + HUMANS + GREAT GOOD FINE OK + BIRTHDAY BOY + KWIKFIKS + HEARTSTREETS + PYRAMID TROPIC, so you know this will be a dance-all-night kind of party.

We’re celebrating the impact of soundtracks and a historically good time. While you're dancing the night away at our annual building-wide bash, don't forget to get your mini-manicure from Pinky's Nails to keep those hands looking Johnny-Depp-handshake-worthy. (We can dream a little, ok?) Ever wanted to live-out that rock star fantasy by getting a spontaneous tattoo in the middle of a party? Be one of the lucky few to get permanently inked by Speakeasy Tattoos. We repeat, they are permanent. Sorry Mom. Last call is 4AM so meet us on the dance floor + party the night away. We’ve got everything else covered to make this a TIFF party one to remember.

Check the night's lineup:

Drake Hotel Lounge
10PM: Heartstreets
11PM: Birthday Boy
12AM: Great Good Fine Ok
1AM: Kill Them With Colour

Drake Underground
9:30PM: Pyramid Tropic
10:30PM: Café Lanai
11:30PM: KwikFiks
12:30AM: Humans

And it doesn't end there! Drake One Fifty will host the official Grolsch Open House in the York Street Parkette on TIFF opening night from 7-10PM, with live music, art, and of course food + drink. The party continues inside until 4AM with Brendan Canning + Friends, Oldies 990 playing tunes from the Soundtrack of Your Life and DJ Fase providing the dance beats. You know this will be one TIFF after party you'll never forget.

Enjoy the view, while getting your dance on with Drake TV 'Making it Rain' exhibit; featuring selected Daata Editions artists: Jon Rafman, David Blandy, Ed Fornieles, Leo Gabin, Daniel Keller & Martti Kalliala, Rachel Maclean, Florian Meisenberg, Takeshi Murata, Hannah Perry, Charles Richardson, Chloe Wise.

Selected by David Gryn, Director of Daata Editions and Curator of Film, Art Basel in Miami Beach. The digital works will be screened at the Queen West Hotel on screens throughout and nightly on the façade of hotel's downtown location, Drake One Fifty. In addition, the entire programme will be screened with sound in the Hotel’s private dining room, on September 12 and 13, noon-5pm offering a more cinematic experience.

If you weren’t there or the memories are a little fuzzy, here are a few pictures to remind you of all the fun we had at last year’s TIFF 2014: Get Ready to Rock Steady party.
