We've got more details! Catch up on the latest news of the exciting new music festival that we have the pleasure of working with this summer. We are very happy to have this opportunity, + be a part of this speical first year of WayHome. We've made a few visits to the site + have lots to tell!

As you may have heard... WayHome Music and Arts have partnered with us for the 2015 summer music festival. The partnership is for the VIP experience part of the festival, taking place amongst a beautifully restored 1920’s barn that is right beside the main stage of the festival. In the VIP experience, there will be a series of mini-restaurants by the Drake Hotel, Drake One Fifty and Drake Devonshire Inn.

The Drake will feature its ‘foodie classics with a twist’ for VIP campers, for breakfast, lunch and dinner + snacks. The mini-restaurants will include the Drake Café (Drake granola, Drake burger), Fish Camp (Shrimp, fresh oysters, crispy clams), Drake Fiesta (Tacos, grilled corn), Drake BBQ (Pork ribs, chicken thighs) and Drake Snacks (Ice cream sandwiches, freezies). On top of these food options, there will be a Drake mixology team on hand to shake up carefully crafted cocktails and premium wine for the festival goers.

The VIP area will look and feel “like Drake” with the Drake team curating the art and décor, including several site-specific works by artists like Analog Preservation Network, Confetti System and Alicia Nauta. It is a very exciting opportunity and we are trying to build the best Drake City possible for VIP campers. The goal is to create a space that feels like the Drake, delivering our excellent service as always, but on a farm during a music festival.

The line-up looks fantasic with huge headliners such as Neil Young, Alt-J, Sam Smith, Hozier, etc... But we want to feature some really awesome non-headliners to check out:

Alvvays is a Canadian indie pop band (originally from the east coast) now based in Toronto. They will be taking the stage on July 25 at WayHome (the Saturday). Their tunes will be nice to listen to on a sunny day in a field, + a good lead up to Modest Mouse + Kendrick Lamar later that night!

Another band you can't miss is another Toronto based brother + sister duo, Brave Shores. The siblings have a electro pop sound that is perfect for a dreamy festival day. They perform on July 26 (the Sunday) so make sure you check them out before packing up and heading out for the weekend!

BC band, Bear Mountain, will be joining WayHome on the first night (July 24) with their electro-dance music. Ian Bevis, frontman of the band said that one of their friends described their sounds as, "A hopeful utopian future." Now who wouldn`t want to listen to that sound at a music festival?

Listen to Alvvays song, Adult Diversion on your drive up to Burls Creek!

Watch Brave Shores, Never Come Down, + get pumped for the festival!

Listen to Bear Mountains, Congo, and be prepared to dance + sing on the 24!

Can`t wait to see you all up in Oro-Medonte!
