“Apologies to Epstein’s, the Woodro, King David, and all the other formative delis of our kosher-style youth... Mile End, the Canadian-Brooklyn oddball has already reinvented the venerable form."-New York Magazine

Mile End Deli co-founder, Noah Bernamoff, accompanied by Mile End Chef Josh Sobel, returns to his Canadian roots to join us at Drake One Fifty for a one-night-only Brooklyn-by-way-of-Montreal inspired dinner on March 25.

Matters of food are personal and deep rooted for Bernamoff. Affectionately named after the neighbourhood of his adolescent upbringing, the streets of Montreal's Mile End and its rich + diverse food culture also doubly serves as the inspiration behind Bernamoff's labour of love. Witnessing the steady decline of the deli, Bernamoff and his wife Rae, decided to bring their love for brining to Brooklyn.

Specializing in smoked meats, pickled + baked goods, the Brooklyn-based, Montreal-style Jewish deli cuisine effortlessly takes our favourite Jewish eats and elevates them to redefine and transcend the traditional comfort food experience, satisfying even the pickiest of palates. You can expect the same 'old-meets-new', familiar flavour at our pop-up, with ingredients like their signature smoked meats, and a Mile End spin off of the classic matzo ball or latke recipe that even your Bubbe would approve of. There will even be some sufganiyot - an Israeli variation of the North American donut, to finish the night off right.
