Perhaps the sweetest weekend in the County, this year Drake Devonshire joins our neighbours in true Canadian style to celebrate the first maple harvest of the 2015 season for Maple in the County on March 28 + 29.

You can expect all-things quintessentially Canadian + more at the two-day long event; visit one of the participating sugarbushes, enjoy pancake breakfasts with fresh maple syrup. One of the only times it will be socially acceptable to play with your food before eating it, spirits will be high while pouring taffy on snow and roasting s'mores. If you're all maple syrup-ed out (which is next to impossible) petting zoos, barbecue sausages, lumberjack shows, artisan vendors and wineries await you.

Drake Devonshire Chef Matt DeMille will be collaborating with Chef Jonathan Goodyear of the Royal Canadian Yacht Club and Top Chef Canada finalist on an a-la-carte or three course prix-fixe menu, where the not-so-secret ingredient will be, you guessed it, maple syrup.

So put on your best plaid and show some love for your home + native land; indulge in the liquid gold in more ways than you thought possible. Join us in the county during the final weekend of March for some maple-inspired festivities; it would be a national disservice not to.
