A little food porn, anyone?

New Menu!

We're rolling out new menus at The Drake Hotel, and we figured the best thing to do to mark the occasion—rather than tempt you directly by dangling an oyster slider in your face—would be to share a few photos of our new offerings.

One of the best things about the new Daytime menu, of course, is our brunch specials now offered every weekday, from 9 am through 4 pm. With a wide sampling of delicious home-baked goods from the kitchen, expect a distinctly Drake-style take on classic breakfast and brunch main-stays this month—as if you'd expect any less from us. For the first time ever, you can get our famous Southern Fried Chicken and Waffle ($15.95), an herb waffle topped with Niagara cherry jam, crème fraiche, and maple syrup on a workday. And what could capture that Sunday brunch feeling on hump day better than an Eggs Benny bar? Select from Drake (hand carved country ham and cheddar biscuit, $14.95), Caleb (house smoked salmon, arugula and poppy seed bagel, $15.95) or Reubenesque (house cured corned beef, Tymek’s sauerkraut and grilled sourdough, $16.95).

The only foreseeable problem is if you're a little indecisive when presented with too many good things, right?

As if that wasn't enough, there are the new additions to our dinner menu, some of which we've included here. For example, there's the and Shaved Napa Salad ($12.95)(pictured above). With shaved carrot, scallion, candied cashews, and sesame ginger dressing, it's salad taken to the next level—a veritable feast of greens.

But oh my, there's more. Take a look—descriptions of each menu item are included below the photos.

New Menu!

There's also our smokey pork ribs ($18.95), spiced up with shishito peppers, and topped with 100 km peanuts and BBQ sauce.

New Menu!

Or, on the snacking and sharing end of things, we're offering what we think will change the game for all things slider—specifically, our brand-new oyster sliders ($12.95), made with chicken fried Fanny Bay oysters from Vancouver Island, British Columbia, charred scallion mayo + cabbage slaw.

New Menu!

Are you a fan of mac and cheese? Of course you are and you know it. And you'll be twice the fan—or three times, or possibly four—after you've sampled our Drake-style mac and cheese ($17.95), exquisitely prepared with roasted seasonal squash, gruyere mornay, and bacon crust.

New Menu!

Another main course we're thrilled to offer are our seared scallops and grits ($24.95), mouthwateringly prepared with soft grits, snap peas, and shiitake mushroom.

New Menu!

And just because we love to snack, we've prepared a new take on an old classic—the almighty, ever-present chicken wing. Except these ones are sticky, and as our chefs love to do, completely mould-breaking when it comes to preparation. Our sticky wings ($14.95/pound) are twice fried, and expertly prepared with red pepper sauce, chili + a side of pickled carrots + ranch.

Have we completely melted your mind yet? Good. Now get yourself down to The Drake Hotel at 1150 Queen St. West and sample them for yourself. As always, reservations can be made online, or by calling 416-531-5042, extension 1.

We can't wait to seat you!
