Blogging about exciting people wouldn't be complete without talking about some of the exciting people who come through our doors; our hotel guests! Meet TV producer, Michael Shepard.
Drake: Tell us a bit about yourself, where do you hail from / what keeps you busy during the day?
Michael Shepard: I am from Vancouver, I produce TV series and sell TV series. We do comedies and dramas.
D: If someone was to record the soundtrack of your life, who would it be and why?
MS: It would be the Beastie Boys and it would be a video like the one for Sabotage, with people from the 70s chasing me with big guns and crashing cars and crazy shit going on. Not particularly accurate to my life- more of a metaphor!
D: Do you have a favourite Drake memory?
MS: No favourite memory, but what I love most about the Drake is that the staff clearly love being there. Drake Staff appreciate that the Drake is far more important than being just a hotel.
D:Other than being at Drake, what's your favourite thing to do in Toronto?
MS: My favourite restaurant is JOSO'S at Davenport and Avenue. I always order the grilled octopus.
D: If you could invite anyone to a Drake dinner (dead or alive) who would you munch a Drake burger alongside or sip a mojito with?
MS: Actually, we would be eating sushi and it would be Frank Sinatra. He would probably tease me about the sushi and then Frank would join us and we would head out.
